Toyota Brings Drivers Together With The Camry Effect

If you're anything like most of us here at Deland Toyota Scion, you probably have fond memories of your first car. That's right, the car handed down from your mom and dad, or maybe you worked hard all summer to buy it from the guy down the street - and sure, maybe the odometer didn't start at zero, and maybe somebody else had already worn all the plush material off the seats, but it carted you and your friends around, probably took you on a few dates, and maybe you even learned how a change a tire on that trusty old thing, right? Absolutely.

And maybe, if you were really lucky, your first car was a Toyota Camry. Even if it wasn't, we're willing to bet you have a story to tell about a Toyota Camry that's effected your life. With over 9-million sold in the last 30 years, it would probably be hard to say that your life hasn't been effected by a Toyota Camry, be it your first car or your last. Which is exactly why Toyota is asking their customers to share their stories as a part of the Camry Effect.

In fact, Toyota is pretty sure that with over 6.8-million Camry drivers out there, the stories are endless. But it's not just about the mileage or the age of your Camry, it's about the memories you've made with it. Toyota says, "We want to hear about the first dates, the first kisses, road trips, racing dreams, late night snack runs, oil changes, family trips and first drives. We want to know the effect Camry has had on you, because you have had an effect on the world."1

And the really cool part about this, we think, is that you'll likely discover that your memories are not so unlike those of other Camry drivers. Over 100 people have shared stories about their Nascar dreams, 281 have shared a memorable moment with the Camry, and nearly 7000 people have logged on simply to share their Camry pride.
